Paul Andrew Williams gears up for summer shoot on third feature
London To Brighton director Paul Andrew Williams will begin principal photography on his third feature, Cherry Tree Lane, on July 16 in North London.
Williams has also penned the script for the urban thriller, about a couple who are terrorised in their own home by a gang of youths hunting their son.
The film, which has received support from the UK Film Council’s New Cinema fund, will be distributed in the UK by Metrodome. International sales are being handled by The Salt Company.
The project is being produced by Steel Mill Pictures, the company set up by Williams and Ken Marshal to produce London To Brighton in 2006, and their second feature, The Cottage in 2008.
Williams said: “Cherry Tree Lane is tense, harrowing and even disturbing at times, and how these elements are handled, dramatically and cinematically will determine the final style of the film.
“It is closer in style to London to Brighton creatively, but the social issues it brings to the fore and the currency of the subject matter will mean it has broad cinematic appeal.”
