Ray Winstone and Temuera Morrison will star in manhunt thriller Tracker, which starts shooting next week in New Zealand.

The UK-New Zealand co-production is an action thriller about an ex-Boer war guerrilla who is tasked with capturing a Maori seafarer accused of killing a British soldier. The script has been penned by the late Nicolas van Pallandt and will be directed by British director Ian Sharp.

It is an Eden Films and T.H.W Film production in association with Phoenix Wiley & Liberty Films. It has been backed by the UK Film Council, the New Zealand Film Commission, NZ On Air and private financier Natixis Coficine.

David Burns and Trevor Haysom are producing with executive producers Stephanie Pettigrew, Sue Cook, Gareth Wiley and Richard Fletcher. International sales are being handled by Independent, with pre-sales already secured with Square One for Germany and Transmission Films for Australasia.
