The Rome Film Festival (Oct 28 – Nov 5) has announced the launch of a new award: the Special Award of the President of the Republic.
The award will be given to the competition film that best “emphasises human and social values”.
The prize will be awarded by the international jury – comprised of writer-director and jury president Sergio Castellito, journalist Natalia Aspesi, directors Ulu Grosband, Edgar Reitz, Olga Sviblova and writer Patrick McGrath - during the official award ceremony on November 5 in the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
