The 16th edition of the Canadian co-production/co-financing market set for September.

Strategic Partners, a Canadian co-production/co-financing market, will have its 16th annual event in Nova Scotia from Sept 12-15 as part of the Atlantic Film Festival program

The event will offer an organized forum for projects seeking financing and those at an early stage looking for a partner.

This year’s forum will focus on India and the UK for partners, introducing a small number of producers and officials from both territories.

“Momentum continues to build in the number of Canadian and international producers looking to collaborate with India and the UK is a natural co-spotlight given their experience in successfully capitalizing on their co-pro treaty with Indian many times,” said Strategic Partners director Laura Mackenzie.

Attending the event will be producers, investors, sales and funding agents among others, and will offer a linear program to provide access to international co-production possibilities. Over 1,000 meetings are pre-scheduled as well as roundtable sessions, keynote speakers and screenings.

Strategic Partners focuses on feature film, TV and multiplatform fiction and is run by the festival, which now holds events throughout the year as opposed to the eight-day event in September.

The deadline for registration is June 28 and forms are available at www.atlanticfilm.com/sp.
