Golden Bear winner Head-On is one of nine German films awarded a total Euros 1.8m worth of advertising airtime on public and private channels.

The new funding category, which was introduced as part of the agreement with the TV stations on their financial contribution to the German Federal Film Board (FFA), envisages Euros 10m worth of advertising time being made available for trailers of new German releases this year.

The other films benefiting from this new marketing incentive are three Senator Film releases - Erbsen Auf Halb Sechs, Jazzclub and Kleinruppin Forever -, UIP's animation feature Derrick and Venice prize-winner Schultze Gets The Blues, Tobis Film's Samba In Mettmann, Constantin Film's Autobahnraser and X Verleih's Lautlos.
