Two alumni of the Skillset's training programme Inside Pictures have won an Oscar. Producers Kenton Allen and Mia Bays, who met on the 2002 Inside Pictures programme, won for the Academy Award for short film Six Shooter, directed by Martin McDonagh.

"Congratulations to Mia and Kenton for a fantastic and well deserved Oscar win," said Stewart Till, deputy chair of Skillset and CEO of United International Pictures. "As they met and undoubtedly developed their knowledge on Skillset's Inside Pictures course, we are very happy to bask in their reflected glory."

The current participants of Inside Pictures are heading to Los Angeles on March 13 to meet with industry leaders such as Universal's Marc Shmuger, HBO Films' Colin Callender, director Michael Apted, and CAA's Michael Peretzian.
