LA-based sales and financing outfit Pandora has acquired international rights, excluding English-speaking territories, to Northfork, the latest film from the eccentric film-making duo of Mark and Michael Polish (Twin Falls Idaho, Jackpot).

Paramount Classics has all English-speaking rights to the film which was directed by Michael Polish from a script by both Mark and Michael Polish who also produced. Mark Polish also stars in the ensemble cast of the film alongside Nick Nolte, James Woods, Daryl Hannah, Claire Forlani, Peter Coyote, Anthony Edwards, Kyle MacLachlan and Duel Farnes.

Farnes plays a bedridden nine year-old orphan who dreams of being adopted into a loving family away from the small rural community in Montana in which he lives. His dreams collide with the reality of the community which lies in the path of a dam construction project.

Shebnem Askin, executive vice president of worldwide sales, and Dana Ginsburg, executive vice president of business affairs, negotiated the deal on behalf of Pandora with executive producer and attorney Paul Mayersohn representing the Polish brothers. Michel Shane, Anthony Romano, James Woods and Damon Martin also executive produced.

"The film, which is presently in post-production, is an ideal complement to our Mifed slate," said Askin in a statement, "and we are looking forward to screening footage for the buyers in Milan."
