First Look Internationaldivision has closed major territory sales on horror picture The Breed, which is directed by Wes Craven'sprotege Nick Mastandrea.

Rights have gone to Pathe in the UK, Medusa in Italy,Europa Films in Brazil, Nordisk in Scandinavia, Lizard Cinema Trade in CIS,Falcon Films in the Middle East, and Hollywood Entertainment in Greece.

The Breed stars Michelle Rodriguez, Taryn Manningand Oliver Hudson and centres on a group of college students who fly to adeserted island for a weekend getaway and discover it is inhabited by packs ofgenetically altered dogs.

"The Breed is a real thriller which uncoversultimate human fears, and we know audiences will be excited, terrified, amazedand most of all, entertained," First Look Studios chief executive officer HenryWinterstern said.

"We are verypleased to announce that First Look International's sales of The Breed will make this innovative horror taleavailable to hungry audiences around the world who are hungry for excitingentertainment."

David Lancaster, Hal Sadoffand Marianne Maddalena produced the project, and Craven served as executiveproducer.
