LA-based independent PR specialist Mark Pogachefsky and the Film Division of his mPRm Public Relations will receive the fifth annual Indie Supporter Award at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival which takes place April 13-18 in Los Angeles.

The award, presented annually to individuals who have provided an extraordinary contribution to the independent film-making community, has previously been bestowed on, among others, exhibitors Robert and Greg Laemmle and actor Eric Stoltz.

Pogachefsky and his team, including well-known publicists Laura Kim and Michael Lawson, has worked on campaigns such as, recently, Tumbleweeds, Boys Don't Cry, The Cider House Rules and Being John Malkovich as well as some of the classic breakout indies of the last decade such as Life Is Beautiful, Happiness, The Pillow Book and Waking Ned Devine.

The festival will present the award at a ceremony on the closing day of the festival and will pay tribute to Pogachefsky at the closing night screening and gala.
