HDNet Films sealed most territorial deals on Brian De Palma's Iraq war drama Redacted ahead of its Venice world premiere.

The film, which screens here on Monday and goes on to play the New York Film Festival, sold to TFM in France, New Select in Japan, AE/Eagle Pictures in Italy, On Pictures in Spain, and Sponge Entertainment in Korea.

All deals were negotiated by HDNet's Laird Adamson. EEAP bought the film for eastern Europe, Focus Filmes for Brazil, Paradiso for Benelux, Angel Films in Scandinavia, CP Digital in Russia, LNK Filmes in Portugal, Hollywood Entertainment in Greece, Front Row for the Middle East, Orlando Films in Israel and Umut Sanat in Greece.

HDNet partner Magnolia Films will handle the US release, while Maximum/Seville will handle Canada following the recent joint distribution deal between Maximum (for English-speaking Canada) and Seville (French-speaking Canada) for product from Magnolia and HDNet. Optimum has UK rights.

HDNet is also selling documentary Surfwise, which has its world premiere here. Directed by Doug Pray, it is the story of the legendary surfer Dorian 'Doc' Paskowitz.
