Disproving the notion that humorous films do not traveleasily, Only Human (Seres Queridos), theSpanish comedy about a beautiful TV presenter and her dysfunctional family,racked up a large number of sales ahead of its AFM premiere on Saturday (6 Nov)

The picture, handled by the UK's Renaissance Films,has been sold to Odeon Films (Canada), Haut et Court (France), ItalianInternational Film (Italy), Verve (UK), A-Film (Netherlands), Cinelibre(Belgium), Frenetic (Switzerland), Odeon (Greece), Umut Sanat (Turkey) and EFF(Iceland).

A deal for North America is understood to have been struckwith US distributor Magnolia Pictures, though neither distributor nor sellerwas willing to comment.

The film, directed by real-life couple Teresa de Pelegri andDominic Harari, is the first Spanish-language picture to be supported by the UKFilm Council's Premiere Fund.

It was produced by Spanish producers Tornasol Films with thesupport of Milou Films, ICAA and Ibermedia, the UK's Greenpoint Films,Portugal's Madragoa Producao de Filmes and Argentina's PatagonikFilm Group.

It stars Marian Aguilera, Guillermo Toledo, Norma Aleandro,Maria Botto and Fernando Ramallo.
