While I agree China is a very important market and should be given its due attention, I can’t help but I think that a better Strategy for the UK film industry would be to look at exploiting those markets were we already have very strong language, cultural, economic, political and historical ties. Countries such as India, Nigeria and South Africa to name a few already have multi-billion film industries just waiting to be explored by the UK….. Whereas China is an extremely fierce and difficult market in all respects especially as the whole world seems to be heading there at the same time….
