Travelling digital arts andfilm festival Resfest will kick off in Chicago on Oct 19 before travelling to a total of 45 cities onsix continents. The festival, now in its 10th year, has announced dates for citiesincluding Paris (Oct 20-22), Rome (Nov 3-5), Singapore (Nov 10-12), London (Nov 14-19), Montreal (Nov 24-26), Rotterdam (Dec 1-3) and Istanbul (Dec 15-17). Dates will be announced in the futurefor other cities in 2006 and 2007.

In a change this year,Resfest's world tour will end in the US in March and April 2007 with week-long events(presented in high-definition) in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Newstops around the world will include Eskisehir, Jakarta andLima.

This year's programmehighlights include a Radiohead retrospective; highlights from Resfest's 10-yearhistory; music videos for artists including OK Go, Hot Chop, Mogwai, MassiveAttack, Basement Jaxx and The Knife; the Wu-Tang Clan documentary Rock The Bells by Casey Suchan and DenisHenry Hennelly; and shorts by film-makers including John Kramer, StefanNadelman, Richard Fenwick, Chris Shepherd, Carl Smith, PES and Run Wrake.

Resfest received a record 2,200film submissions this year. The festival's websitewill offer updated programmes and dates for each city.
