The International Rome Film Festival has appointed three industry professionals to assist artistic director Piera Detassis in selecting films for the event's fourth edition, set to run October 15-23.

Theyare journalist, critic, producer and film distributor Fabrizio Grossoli, journalist Alessandra De Luca and Fabia Bettini.

Grossoli has previously served on a number of Italian festival selection committees, including the Venice Film Festival from 1999-2001.

In 2003 he was made co-curator of Venice's 'Nuovi Territori' (New Territories) section.

Alessandra De Luca is a Milan-based film TV and print journalist whose credits include Ciak, Italy's top monthly glossy film magazine. She has also worked with Rai Cinema and the Locarno Film Festival. She
began consulting with Detassis during the 2008 edition of the
festival.

Fabia Bettini has been a collaborating with the International Rome
Film Festival since its first edition where she worked along-side
Gianluca Giannelli in crafting the Alice in the City sidebar aimed at
youthful audiences.

Additionally, she curated 'Berlin in Rome' showcases from 2004-2006. She also served on the Berlinale's Generation jury in 2004.

Mario Sesti remains at the head of the Extra-L'Altro Cinema section
while Gianluca Giannelli will continue to lead the Alice in the City
side bar.

Detasiss was recently promoted tothe artistic director role while prominent producer and former Mikado distributor founder Roberto Cicutto was named last month to lead Rome's market-event.

The re-formed team was necessary after Teresa Cavina and Giorgio
Gosetti, both prominent in the rise of the festival, stepped down
after the third edition.
