Gustavo Santaolalla will receive the GABI Lifetime Achievement at the Los Angeles Latino International Film's (LALIFF), which runs from September 12-19.

The Oscar winning composer of Brokeback Mountain and Babel also co-wrote the festival's opening night film Cafe De Los Maestros, a tango documentary directed by Miguel Kohan that gets its LA premiere at the event.

All in all the festival will showcase more than 130 films from around the world. The CineLatino Audience award will be handed out on the closing night.
