The Sarajevo Film Festival,widely recognized as the biggest film festival in South East Europe, hasannounced the competition lineup for its 12th edition which runs Aug19 to 27.
Over 70 films were submitted to be selected for the 11-film competitionsection, an increase from previous years since Hungary has now been added asone of the participant countries.
"There are two threads that are characteristic and that connect all11 films competing for SFF Awards," said the festival's selector ElmaTataragic.
"The tendencies that dominate the programme are on one side the social,and on the other side, personal questions and issues,"
The competition includes four World, two International and five Regionalpremieres which will compete for the Best Feature Film Award of EUR25,000. Twogala screenings
The Festival has incorporated a short film official competition for thefirst time, with a EUR3,000 prize.
