Universal's horror spoof Shaun Of The Dead opened second in the UK through UIP atthe weekend on an estimated $3m from 358 screens.

Meanwhile Dawn Of The Dead, the rather more serious remake of George Romero's seminalgenre title, grossed $210,000 from 200 screens in Mexico, raising its totalafter ten days to $1.2m.

In the UK, where Dawn Of The Dead is being released by Entertainment, thepicture grossed $815,000 from 293 for $8.6m after 17 days. It is due to open inGermany, Austria and Russia next weekend.

The romantic comedy Along Came Polly added $3.1m at the weekend to raise itinternational running total to $75m with seven countries still to open.

The highlightwas a number one bow in New Zealand on $180,000 from 39.
