Amanda Sherwin has joinednewly formed North American distributor THINKFilm as vice president ofdistribution, while Michael Tuckman has been named director of theatricalsales.

Both will work out of thecompany's New York City office and report to president Jeff Sackman andhead of distribution Mark Urman.

Sherwin was previously vicepresident of marketing at Lions Gate Releasing and previously worked withSackman and Urman when they were at Lions Gate; Tuckman was most recentlydirector of feature distribution for The Cinema Guild.

THINKfilm's firstreleases are The Dangerous Lives Of Altar Boys starring and produced by Jodie Foster, BartFreundlich's World Travelerand Laurent Cantet's Time Out(L'Emploi Du Temps), all ofwhich are in the Sundance Film Festival official selection, and IsmailMerchant's third film as director The Mystic Masseur.
