International sales executive Sigrid Ann Davison died on Aug 26 at her home in Los Angeles after a long illness. She was 49.

Davison started her career at Universal Pictures International Sales before moving on to Skouras Pictures, where she served as senior vice president of international and oversaw sales, distribution, acquisition and marketing operations.

She raised financing for film projects through pre-sales for such companies as Odyssey Entertainment, Lightmotive, 2K Media, and Cinevox International, where she negotiated a multi-territory output deal with Warner Bros.

Davison most recently served as president of international at the Santa Monica-based Motion Picture Corporation Of America, and was a member of the Writers Guild.

She underwent surgery for a brain tumour in August of last year. She is survived by her husband, Karl Stange, and their two daughters, Justine and Celeste, and her brothers William and Eric Davison.
