Spanish sister companies Sogecine and Sogepaq are set to co-produce and handle worldwide sales respectively on cult director Alex de la Iglesia's next film, Ferpect Crime (Crimen Ferpecto).

The Spanish-language black comedy about the far-from-perfect crime perpetrated by a department store sales executive will be a three-country co-production with de la Iglesia's own Panico Films, Italy's Planet Pictures and France's La Fabrique de Films.

Guillermo Toledo (The Other Side Of The Bed) and Monica Cervera (Piedras) will co-star in the film, set to begin shooting in Madrid around November 4. Ferpect Crime is co-scripted by habitual de la Iglesia collaborator Jorge Guerricaechevarria.

Ferpect Crime marks the director's return to black comedy after last year's western spoof 800 Bullets (800 Balas), sold internationally by TF1 International. Among his black comedy credits are local box office hits such as The Day Of The Beast (El Dia De La Bestia), Dying Of Laughter (Muertos De Risa) and Common Wealth (La Comunidad).
