Global Entertainment Group(GEG), the recently formed production and financing arm of Hong Kongentrepreneur Johnny Hon's Global Group, has appointed Stella Sze to oversee itspush into the Chinese market.

The company, which listedyesterday (May 23) on London's Ofex index, aims to produce and finance film andTV productions aimed at Asia and in particular the India and China markets.

Sze, who has been appointedas managing director based in Hong Kong, was formerly a producer and directorat Hong Kong's RTHK. Patrick Martin, formerly an executive with Germany'sHelkon Media, was recently named as the London-based CEO of the company.

Sze aims to produce films inthree budget ranges -- low-budget HD projects, to groom new talent; pan-Asianco-productions, and big-budget English or local-language internationalco-productions with US and Asian partners.

GEG was incorporated thismonth by Global Group chairman and venture capitalist Hon. The company hasalready signed a co-production deal with China's Taihu Media for TV series DaRen Wu, starring Nicholas Tse, forCCTV.
