Sundance Institute has selected the Documentary Film Fellows representing four projects that will take part in the Documentary Film Edit and Story Laboratory set to run in Utah from June 21-28.

The Laboratory offers one intensive week of creative feedback and the chance to work closely with a pool of creative advisors comprising two directors and four editors.

The 2008 Documentary Fellows are: NC Heikin (director) for Kimjongilia; Natalia Almada (director and editor) and Daniela Alatorre (producer) for El General; Deann Borshay Liem (director) and Vivien Hillgrove (editor) for Precious Objects Of Desire, and Jennifer Maytorena Taylor (director) and Kenji Yamamoto (editor) for New Muslim Cool.

The creative advisor pool is made up of editors Kate Amend, Lewis Erskine, Mary Lampson and T Woody Richman, and directors Sam Green and Laura Poitras.

'Editing is a critical and often under valued element of documentary film-making and we are privileged to highlight their artistry in this Lab,' Sundance Documentary Film Programme director Cara Mertes said.
