JonathanDayton and Valerie Faris' Little Miss Sunshine won the grand prize at the 32ndDeauville Festival of American Film last night in Deauville, France. The film,a huge box office success in North America, opened in France on Wednesdaythrough 20th Century Fox.

Meanwhilethe jury prize went to Ryan Fleck's Half Nelson and the screenplay prize went toLaurie Collyer's Sherrybaby. All three top prize-winners are films had their worldpremiere at the Sundance Film Festival this year.

Film-makerand actress Nicole Garcia headed the jury which also included Guillaume Canet,Marthe Keller and Antoine de Caunes.

MeanwhileHalf Nelson alsowon the Revelation Cartier prize awarded from a jury headed by ChristopheHonore and Sherrybaby won the International Critics Prize.

The PrixMichel d'Ornano went to Julie Gavras' Blame It On Fidel starring Julie Depardieu while theCanal Plus documentary prize was awarded to Christopher Dillon Quinn and TommyWalker's God Grew Tired Of Us, another Sundance prize-winner.
