Video giant Tai SengEntertainment, one of the leading US distributors of Hong Kong film andtelevision, is to theatrically distribute its first production in the US, theaction documentary Red Trousers - The Life Of The Hong Kong Stuntmen.

Tai Seng will partner withLandmark Theaters and Regal Entertainment and will release the picture inSeattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles on Mar 5, expanding into more than 18markets after that.

Marking the directorialdebut of Robin Shou, Red Trousersexplores the inside world of the Peking Opera School, where martial artslegends Jackie Chan and Jet Li learned their craft.

"Hong Kong action style hasbecome such a strong influence in recent American films such as The Matrix,Kill Bill, Charlie's Angels and CrouchingTiger, we felt that Robin's homageto these masters and their legacy was a perfect fit for American filmaudiences," Helen Soo, general manager of Tai Seng Entertainment, said in astatement.

San Francisco-based Tai Sengoperates in the theatrical and home entertainment arenas and its libraryencompasses more than 2,500 films and thousands of hours of televisionprogramming.
