Mumbai-based Fox Star Studios is partnering with Dinesh Vijan and Saif Ali Khan’s Illuminati Films to produce comedy Finding Fanny.

Directed by Homi Adajania, the ensemble film stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Pankaj Kapur.

Set in Goa, the bilingual film follows a man and his dysfunctional friends searching for his lost childhood love. Release is scheduled for July 4, 2014.

Homi previously directed black comedy Being Cyrus (2005) and last year’ hit comedy Cocktail, the later produced by Illuminati Films and starring Deepika Padukone and Saif Ali Khan.

“I was offered some big ‘Cocktail-type’ films after the success of it, but I really wanted to work on my own material and not just direct something for money,” said Homi. “Finding Fanny is really very special to me.”
