Roger Goldby's debut feature The Waiting Room has begun shooting in South London.

The film, whose stars include Anne-Marie Duff and Rupert Graves, has been funded entirely by private investors including Sir Tim Rice with the cast and crew receiving a stake in the final film.

The film will shoot for five weeks on location. The Waiting Room tells the story of two groups of friends, partners, colleagues and lovers, living and working alongside each other in Balham and unconnected until a chance encounter at a train station.

Goldby's short It's Good To Talk was nominated for an Oscar. Scorpio Films' Sarah Sulick is producing with Stephen Evans executive producing.
