The Works International has taken on international sales forRagnar Bragason's Icelandic feature Children. The sales company will startnegotiating for the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Children will screen in the Zabaltegi-New Directors sectionat San Sebastian and has also beenselected for Pusan.

Children is the first of two parent-and-child themedfeatures by Bragason and production company Vesturport, which also works intheatre. Artbox will release Children in Icelandthis month under the title Born. The second feature, Parents, will be releasedlater this year.

The Reykjavik-set film is about a 12-year-old boy who befriendsa schizophrenic man and suddenly reunites with his father. The cast includes Gisli Orn Garoarsson, Nina DoggFilippusdottir, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Andri Snaer Helgason, Margret Helga Johannesdottir,Sigurour Skulason and Hanna Maria Karlsdottir.

Producers were Gisli Orn Garoarsson, HlynurKristjansson, Ingvar Sigurosson, Nanna Kristin Magnusdottir, Nina DoggFilippusdottir, Olafur Darri 'lafsson, Ragnar Bragason and Vikingur Kristjansson.
