London-based sales company The Works had a busymarket in Berlin, led by sales for Michael Winterbottom'sSilver Bear winner, The Road to Guantanamo. Deals were struck with Alta for Spain, Art Film for Brazil, Palace for Australia and New Zealand, Falcom Media for Germany and Austria, Prooptiki for Greece and Cyprus, Budapest Film for Hungary, Elite for Switzerland, Pi Film for Turkey, CTV for France, Fandango for Italy, Klockworxfor Japan, and CNAC for Venezuela.

The Works said deals werebeing closed after Berlin for Benelux, Scandinavia, Argentina, Mexico, Korea, and the former Yugoslavia. The sales company alsonoted that there was "strong interest" from North American buyers.

As previously reported, Guantanamo will air on the UK's Channel 4 on March 9 and producers RevolutionFilms will handle a simultaneous UK theatrical, DVD, and Internet release the following day.

The Works also added tosales of Winterbottom's previous film, A Cock & Bull Story, with IDdistribution for France, Madman for Australia and New Zealand, Atlantic for Scandinavia, and Greenlightfor Iceland.

The Works' other EFM saleswere The Best Man to J-Bics in Thailand and TheProposition to California Film in Brazil, Tuck in the former Yugoslavia,New Films in Romania, and J-Bics in Thailand.
