The Works UKDistribution has acquired all UK rights to Robert Altman's A Prairie HomeCompanion from CapitolFilms.

Capitol's head ofsales Eve Schoukroun negotiated the deal with Works UK Distribution managingdirector Mick Southworth and director of marketing Laurence Gornall.

Altman's comedystars Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones, Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, Lindsay Lohanand John C Reilly in the backstage story of Garrison Keillor's fictitious radiovariety show.

The film recentlyhad its UK premiere as part of the Times BFI London Film Festival's 50thanniversary surprise films.
