Trust Film Sales has taken on world sales for Minor Freedoms, by up-and-coming Greek director and writer Costas Zapas.

Minor Freedoms is an unorthodox, cutting edge tale on family relations dominated by violence and sexual exploitation where, according to the director, 'the abolishment of any moral law leads to tragedy'.

Produced by Athens-based Minus Pictures and Zapas regular collaborator Grigoris Athanasiou, the picture is a Zentropa and Minus Pictures presentation. Minor Freedoms is the director's third feature fiction film. Trust has also represented world rights for his two previous films: Uncut Family and The Last Porn Movie.

Minor Freedoms was taken on by Trust just when film-makers finished post-production; Trust and Minus are considering a number of offers from upcoming major international festivals.

Greek films are seeing a boom via international sales companies at the moment, including Correction by Thanos Anastopoulos (Spier Films), Alexis Alexiou's Tale 52 (M-Appeal), Nikos Panagiotopoulos' Athens-Istanbul (Adriana Chiesa Enterprises), Yiannis Smaragdis' El Greco (Notro Films) and last but not least Theo Angelopoulos upcoming, Venice Film Festival bound Dust of Time (Match Factory).

Trust's current slate also includes Lars von Trier's Antichrist, Lukas Moodysson's Mammoth and Annette K. Olesen's Little Soldier.
