TV5, in agreement with CanalPlus, will broadcast the 28th Cesar Awards live on Feb 22 on its US network,TV5 tats-Unis. The annual French film awards will be hosted by GeraldinePailhas, who won the Cesar in 1992 for best newcomer and recently starred inNicole Garcia's L'Adversaire.

This year's leadingcontenders are 8 Femmes with 12nominations, The Pianist with 10nominations, and Amen with six.Spike Lee and the actress Bernaddette Lafont will both receive honouraryCesars. The ceremony will take place at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris.

TV5 tats-Unislaunched in the US last year on a satellite subscription basis under agreementwith satellite provider EchoStar. Parent company TV5 is the only digital,global French-language network broadcasting 24 hours a day year-round to morethan 132 million subscribers, making it the world's third largest globalnetwork in terms of subscribers behind MTV and CNN.
