Michael Sergio's Under Hellgate Bridge was named Best Feature Film at the second annual The Narrowsburg Independent Film Festival in Narrowsburg, upstate New York, last week. The film also won the Best Director prize for Sergio, the Best Actor prize for Michael Rodrick and the Rising Star Award for Brian Vincent.

The festival, which took place Aug 2-6, paid tribute to actors William Forsythe, Madhur Jaffrey and Leo Rossi. Other award winners included Rita Moreno for Best Actress in Blue Moon, which also won the People's Choice award, and Michael Swanhaus for Young Filmmaker Award for Pigeonholed. Shadowboxers was named best documentary and The Terrorist best international feature.

Under Hellgate Bridge is the story of two old enemies confronting each other for love and power in the ganglands which run beneath Hellgate Bridge in New York City. It also stars Jonathan LaPaglia, Dominic Chianese and Vincent Pastore. IFM Film Associates is handling international sales.
