Following its success with thedistribution of Ning Hao's black comedy CrazyStone, Warner China Film HG Corporation has announced its release slate forthe rest of the year.

Produced by Hong Kong star Andy Lau's Focus Films, CrazyStone opened in China on June 30 and has grossed more than $1.5m (RMB12m)to date, driven by strong word-of-mouth and positive media coverage. It heldthe number one spot at the box office until SupermanReturns opened on July 11 and is the top-grossing PRC film in China so far this year.

Next up for Warner ChinaFilm is Phone Number 601, acontemporary Chinese-language drama co-produced with the Shanghai Film Group,which is scheduled to open on August 18.

Feng Xiaogang is executiveproducer on the film which stars Supergirlsstar Zhou Bichang, Hong Kong's Cecilia Cheung andZhang Guoli, who also directs. Warner China Film and Shanghai Film Group willco-distribute the film.

In October, Warner ChinaFilm will release Finnish-Sino co-production Jade Warrior at the same time as the film's European release. Theromantic fantasy is directed by Antti-Jussi Annila and co-produced by WarnerChina Film and partners including BlindSpot Pictures and Ming Productions. Finland's Tommi Eronen and Markku Peltola and up-and-comingPRC actress Zhang Jingchu head the cast.

Warner China Film'sco-production with Stratus Film Co and Warner Independent Pictures, The Painted Veil, will be released in China in late November. Currently in post-production, thefilm was shot entirely in mainland China from August to November last year.
