Warner Home Video hasappointed Takeshi (Tim) Harada as managing director of its Japanese subsidiary,with direct control over all its local home entertainment operations includingsales, marketing, finance and DVD production.

Reporting directly to WarnerHome Video president Warren Lieberfarb, Harada replaces Toshio Yajima who hasresigned from Warner Home Video-Japan to pursue other business opportunities.

Harada arrives from PCCWJwhere he has been president of the gaming division. Before that he waspresident and CEO of gaming company Capcom, USA where he was responsible forthe management of all international subsidiaries.

He began his career atMatsushita Electric Industrial Company, holding various positions, includingManager, Network Business Development and Manager, MCA Liaison Office where hesupported the standardization of DVD in Hollywood and video game development atMCA Interactive Media operations.

Harada "is a very experienced senior executive and as we continue to build the DVD format inJapan, his experience and expertise in the video game and consumer electronicsarenas will be invaluable," commented Lieberfarb.
