The Film Agency for Wales will be officially launched in Cardiff tomorrow (Tuesday).

The body, established to support the industry in the Principality, will also announce its first co-financing venture for first-time feature director David Howard's Flick.

The project has support from the lottery fund of the Arts Council of Wales. The film has additional funding from Finance Wales' IP Fund; Cardiff and Caernarfon based post-production facility, Derwen; and private equity. It will be sold internationally by AV Pictures.

"As an Agency we hope over the coming months to play an increasingly important role in nurturing and supporting almost every facet of the film making process - from development to production, through to exhibition and education - to deliver a dynamic and sustainable film industry in Wales.
