The UK's Women in Film and Television will present its 2006lifetime achievement award to veteran producer Norma Heyman.

She will receive the honourat the WFTV annual awards luncheon on Dec 8 at London's Hilton Park Lane.

Previous winners includeMaggie Smith, Judi Dench, Cilla Black, Barbara Windsor and Esther Rantzen.

"Norma is a trulyinspirational woman," said Jane Cussons, chief executive of Women in Film andTelevision. "She was my role model when I was a producer. Her integrity andcreativity has made her one of the best film producers in the UK and this award is truly well deserved."

Heyman has produced filmsincluding Mrs Henderson Presents, The Honorary Consul, Buster, Gangster No 1, and Danerous Liaisons.

She is one of the foundersof WFTV UK and is a member of AMPAS, the European Film Academy and is on the board of the European Producers Club.
