Features screenplays will be judged by scriptwriter Tom Lazarus.

Circalit, the monthly script competition, has lined up some high-profile associates to read its winning scripts.

The BBC will review the winning TV script each month, and Imaginarium’s Julie Richardson (producer of Collateral) will review the winning short screenplay. Meanwhile, feature screenplays are being judged by screenwriter Tom Lazarus and UK-based The Script Factory, in partnership with Fox, Columbia Pictures and other studios.

International screenwriters post their scripts at circalit.com and then the public votes on monthly winners.

Briony Hanson, Co-Director of The Script Factory, said, “We’re very excited by Circalit’s project to offer writers the chance to find support for their screenplays. The site is clear, user-friendly and it seems like only a matter of time before Circalit becomes known as one of the essential places for the industry to look for new screenwriting talent and we’re happy to be working with them to help screenwriters.”

Tom Lazarus, screenwriter and director, added: “The Circalit monthly screenplay competitions help answer the question ”How do I get my script read by an industry professional?” Circalit is a welcome addition to screenwriting community and a good place for writers to network and make industry contacts.”
