Smith, who will remain Hilary Swank’s partner at 2S Films, will make features and TV in association with Alcon Entertainment in a four-year discretionary first-look deal.

Allison Rayne has been appointed vp of development, while Jon Schumacher will serve as creative executive and Emma Branch is named production executive.

The Belle Pictures slate includes an adaptation of American football coach Barry Switzer’s memoir The Bootlegger’s Boy, which Patrick Massett and John Zinmann are in talks to script. Smith is producing with Thad and Trent Luckinbill, the brothers who brought the project to the company. Warner Bros-based Alcon will finance.

Smith is producing the supernatural love story Beautiful Creatures alongside Erwin Stoff and Alcon co-founder and co-CEO Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson. Viola Davis, Emma Thompson and Emmy Rossum star in that project and Summit International introduced it to buyers at the EFM last month.

Smith produced P.S. I Love You and The Blind Side (pictured).

  • Reese Withersppon and veteran producer Bruna Papandrea have formed Pacific Standard and will fold their Type A Films and Make Movies companies into the new venture. The pipeline include Wild, about a solo mega-hiker.
