David Miller's My Suicide won the 14th Annual Gen Art Film Festival's $10,000 Acura Grand Jury Award for Best Feature and Liliana Greenfield-Sanders' Adelaide took the $5,000 Grand Jury Award for Best Short.

Both films won the corresponding audience awards and received their honours following the closing night screening of Julie Davis' Finding Bliss.

The Stargazer Award honouring breakout talent for excellence in acting went to Gabriel Sunday from My Suicide. Sunday will next be seen in Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock for Focus Features and also stars in Harold Ramis' comedy Year One for Sony.

Musician Moby presented a special jury prize for best use of music in a feature film to Punching The Clown directed by Gregori Viens with music by Henry Phillips.

Derick Martini's drama Lymelife opened the seven-day festival in New York on April 1 and other screenings included Gigantic, Peter & Vandy, and Picture Me.
