A$2.2m number one Australian opening for Fifty First Dates was the highlight of Columbia TriStar FilmDistributors International's (CTFDI) weekend.

Theromantic comedy recorded the biggest ever opening in the market for AdamSandler and overall grossed $2.6m in its markets, raising its early internationalrunning total to $4.7m.

PeterPan grossed $2.2m for a $50.3mindustry-wide cumulative score, powered by a $1.3m number two bow in Spain.

Elsewhere, the thriller Gothika added $4m for $47.3m, Big Fish added $2m for $37.9m, The Rundown boosted its total by $2m to $27.5m and Mona LisaSmile added $1.4m for $71.3m.
