The Academy Foundation of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts andSciences has allocated $290,000 in grants among 27 US festivals for calendaryear 2007.
Separately three festivals - the Los Angeles Film Festival, theSan Francisco International Film Festival and Telluride Ð have received $50,000each under a multi-year grant programme to fund long-term projects.
The 2007 allocations are:
$25,000 to the Seattle International Film Festival.
$20,000 to the AFI Los Angeles International Film Festival and theCinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California.
$15,000 to the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham,North Carolina; the Palm Springs International Film Festival; and the SarasotaFilm Festival
$10,000 to the Ann Arbor Film Festival; the Atlanta Jewish FilmFestival; KidFilm in Dallas, Texas; Miami International Film Festival; MillValley Film Festival; New York International Children's Film Festival; PortlandInternational Film Festival; Provincetown's International Film Festival; RogerEbert's Overlooked Film Festival; San Diego Latino Film Festival; San FranciscoInternational LGBT Film Festival; and the Woodstock Film Festival.
$5,000 to the AspenShortsfest; the Greenmountain Film Festival; ImageOut: The Rochester Lesbian& Gay Film & Video Festival; Phoenix Film Festival; the Port TownsendFilm Festival; the Three Rivers Film Festival; the VC FILMFEST: The Los AngelesAsian Pacific Film Festival; and the Vistas Film Festival.
