The American Film Institute (AFI) has hired fundraising veteran Tom West to lead its advancement initiatives covering such matters as corporate sponsorships and grants.

West has worked for The John F Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts and The Orange County Performing Arts Center, among others.

He reports to AFI president and CEO Bob Gazzale and as svp of advancement assumes responsibilty for expanding AFI’s nationwide reach through strategic fundraising initiatives and building key external relationships.
