David O Russell will be the subject of a special tribute on November 8.

The film-maker returns to the awards race this season with American Hustle after directing last year’s Silver Linings Playbook.

His credits include The Fighter, Three Kings and Flirting With Disaster.

AFI FEST runs from November 7-14.
