FirstLook Media, one of the founding AFMA members, has changed the name of itsinternational sales division Overseas Filmgroup to First Look International toreflect a greater confluence of company operations.

Atthe same time, First Look Pictures revealed that it is releasing three of its domestictitles through IDP, the US distribution partnership through which SamuelGoldwyn Films and Roadside Attractions already funnel their releases.

Commentingon the name change, Liz Mackiewicz, senior vice president of worldwide salesand licensing, said: "The evolution of First Look International is tied to theexpansion of our domestic theatrical and video operations. The domestic andinternational strategies are integrated."

Alongwith the re-branding of the division, additional sales staff members have beenadded. Dina Vangelisti, formerly with ABC Family, has joined the company assenior vice president of television sales, Amy Beecroft, formerly withCinemavault, has joined as director of international sales and LindaMonterrubio, formerly with Peak Viewing Media, heads up Latin American sales.

Thethree First Look titles to be put through IDP this year are: GeorgeHickenlooper's music documentary The Mayor Of Sunset Strip, which is due to be released on Mar 26; NickWilling's crime drama Close Your Eyes (formerly Dr Sleep),starring Goran Visnjic and Miranda Otto and due out on Apr 23; and RevergeAnselmo's drama Stateside, whichstars Rachael Leigh Cook, Jonathan Tucker and Val Kilmer and will open laterthis year.

Thefirst two will go out under the First Look banner while Stateside will bereleased under the Samuel Goldwyn Films banner. First Look Media will handletelevision and home entertainment sales on all three.

Company president BillLischak also announced the company will release Christian Johnston's post-911terrorism drama September Tapesthis summer under the First Look label after acquiring it at Sundance. Aone-minute promo is screening this week at the American Film Market.
