France's Gemini Films has taken on international sales duties for Process, the experimental thriller by CS Leigh, which screened as a special event at this month's Berlin festival.

Containing next to no dialogue, only 29 edits and the cinematography of Yorgos Arvanitis, the film is an unusual look at a woman's descent towards suicide. It stars Beatrice Dalle and Guillaume Depardieu. The film's music track is supplied by experimental musician John Cale. In Berlin, Cale performed it live in front of an audience approaching 1,500.

Process is an Anglo-French co-production by Mark Westaway's Copperfield Communications and Humbert Balsan's Paris Classic Productions.

The producers and Leigh are already planning to re-team for American Widow, a critical drama about a woman who exploits the tragedies of Sept 11 for her own personal gain. Production begins in April.
