A record 435films including a record 278 market premieres are confirmed for the 25th AFMwhich takes place Nov 3 to 10 in Santa Monica, said organizing body IndependentFilm & Television Alliance (IFTA) yesterday.

The line-upincludes 38 titles in official selection at the AFI FEST, the annual event withwhich AFM teams up for the first time and which runs in Los Angeles from Nov4-14.

IFTA executivevice president and AFM managing director Jonathan Wolf said the upcoming marketwould host a record 355 exhibitors in the sold-out Loews Santa Monica BeachHotel and additional space at Le Merigot Hotel.

AFM titlesinclude Sogepaq's euthanasia drama The Sea Inside starring Javier Bardem, Kathy MorganInternational's family drama A Love Song For Bobby Long starring Scarlett Johansson and JohnTravolta, New Films International's comedy drama 2B Perfectly Honest starring John Turturro and AndrewMcCarthy, Pathe International's war comedy Churchill - The Hollywood Years starring Christian Slater and NeveCampbell, and Distant Horizon's apartheid drama Red Dust, which stars Hilary Swank and ChiwetelEjiofor and is sold by Green Room Pictures.

Titles being sold orscreened at AFM that are also screening at the AFI FEST include acclaimed dramaThe Woodsman starring KevinBacon, Bobby Darin biopic Beyond The Sea starring Kevin Spacey, drama The Assassination Of Richard Nixon starring Sean Penn, Don Cheadle and Naomi Watts, theInfernal Affairs crime trilogyfrom Hong Kong, and The Merchant Of Venice, which stars Al Pacino.
