EXCLUSIVE: Aldamisa International kicks off Cannes with a slew of multiple territory deals on hot title Machete Kills as Robert Rodriguez (pictured) prepares to start shooting in June.

COO Jere Hausfater and president of international sales and distribution Nadine de Barros expect to sell out by the end of the market and have closed deals in German-speaking Europe (Universum), Japan (Fine Films), Scandinavia (Svensk) and South Korea (Joy N Contents).

Rights have gone in Portugal (Lusomundo), Middle East (ECS), China (HGC), Eastern Europe, CIS and Baltics (EEAP), Israel (Forum), Turkey (Aqua) and India (Pictureworks).

Danny Trejo returns as the formidable Machete on a mission from the US President to take down a cartel leader threatening nuclear attack. Michelle Rodriguez and Mel Gibson also star and the producers expect to announced additional casting shortly.

Kyle Ward wrote Machete Kills and Rodriguez, Alexander Rodnyansky, Aaron Kaufman and Sergei Bespalov are producing.

“Given Robert’s huge fan following, the response to Machete Kills has been amazing,” Hausfater and de Barros said. “We’re confident all major territories will be sold by the end of the Cannes market. ”

The sales slate include Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For (3D), which Rodriguez and Frank Miller will direct.
