Fox International's AlienVs Predator raised its internationalrunning total by an estimated $6.9m on 1,780 screens in 18 markets to $40.5m atthe weekend.

The action horror pictureopened on $3.3m on 568 in France for an unconfirmed top five ranking, and openedtop in at least four markets including South Africa, Finland, Venezuela andIceland.

The sci-fi thriller I,Robot is fast approaching $200mafter adding $1.4m in its second weekend in Italy on 444 screens for a $4.1mrunning total there. Overall the picture grossed $1.9m at the weekend for$196m.

In its first internationalopening, Woody Allen's Melinda And Melinda opened in fifth place in Spain on $961,000 on 155.

The comedy Taxi opened top in Taiwan on $310,000 on 82 to bring theinternational running total $1.3m.
