Los Angeles-based distribution and production company American World Pictures (AWP) has boarded the horror titles Crazy Eights, Grizzly Park and Triloquist ahead of the AFM.

James K Jones's Crazy Eights stars Traci Lords, Frank Whaley and Gabrielle Anwar and follows a gang of friends who discover a time capsule they buried many year before, along with the remains of a small child.

Sales have closed with Brazil (Video Filmes), Russia (Murena), Germany (Adrena), Greece (Videorama), Middle East (Eagle), South Africa (Sterkinekor), Thailand (Media Film), Turkey (Cinetel) and the UK (High Flyers Video).

Crazy Eights will screen at the AFM on Oct 31, the same day as Grizzly Park, Tom Skull's tale about a group of young offenders on community service in a remote California forest who encounter a serial killer and a giant man-eating bear.

Mark Jones's Triloquist centres on the demented exploits of a pair of siblings and their late ventriloquist mother's sinister dummy. The Weinstein Company holds domestic rights.
