Sharon Stone, Harvey Weinstein, and M·A·C AIDS Fund chairman John Demsey are among chairs of amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS event that will run during the Cannes International Film festival on May 23.

Elizabeth Taylor, AIDS research and advocacy organisation amfAR's founding international chairman, and founding chairman Dr Mathilde Krim will serve as the evening's honorary chairs.

The benefit will feature a formal dinner and live auction to be conducted by Stone and Weinstein. The auction will include a special performance by M·A·C AIDS Fund and VIVA Glam spokesperson Dita Von Teese.

Since 1993 amfAR's annual Cinema Against AIDS gala has reportedly raised more than $22m for AIDS research. For more details visit www.amfar.org.
